Milk thistle usually grows to 60 to 150 cm. It is an herb with a branched stem. It is covered by scattered glands. The leaves grow up to 40 cm. The crushed milk thistle fruits are mostly used for tea, which produce medicinal substances after leaching. The fruits are usually consumed cold, because by pouring hot water, the substances can be largely destroyed. The most common use is to prevent fatty liver.
