PUERH tea is extracted from a plant known as the Chinese tea plant (Camellia sinensis) through a special processing and fermentation process, which gives Puerh tea its unique characteristic and taste.
The leaves of the tea plant are first processed as green tea and then fermented, giving them a specific flavour and aroma. Many people consider it to be a mature tea with a rich and complex flavour.
It contains a wide range of bioactive compounds such as catechins, caffeine, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, polysaccharides, chlorophyll.
The tea is grown from 100% fermented leaves of 75-150 year old Camellia sinensis tea plants, the mother plant is over 400 years old.
The specific aroma that attracts tea lovers. the gentle processing allows to maintain a high concentration of antioxidants, which is why its effects on the human body are so beneficial.
USE:
Place 5 g of tea leaves in a 500 ml teapot, pour water at 95-100 °C (just after boiling) and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. Then let the tea cool to below 40°C.
Cold infusion
Put 5g of tea in a 500ml teapot, pour in room temperature water and leave the tea leaves to infuse freely in the water without a strainer and store overnight in the fridge. In the morning, strain the tea leaves through a sieve.
The infusion has a beautiful deep red colour, the taste is rich and creamy-sweet, but does not lack the earthy notes typical of this type of tea.
