Aroma of bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is highly valued and widely it is used in aromatherapy. This type of mint was chosen because of the smell, which is very similar to the true bergamot. Plants of the genus mint mainly contain essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, and phenols. Plants are considered medicinal, culinary and aromatic. They have beneficial effects on the human body (especially menthol) and are used for medical therapies as well as for ointments. For a pleasant and refreshing aroma is mainly used in the raw state as flavorings in salads, sauces and jellies.
