Licorice

This herb has been used in Asian countries and Egypt for health promotion for about 5,000 years and was brought to Europe by Dominican monks in the 15th century. The root and rhizome are processed and collected in March or October. Among the characteristic biologically active substances found in the rhizome are important saponins - e.g. glycyrrhizin, glycyrrhetinic acid, flavonoids, oxycoumarins, bitter substances and resins, as well as substances of a hormonal nature.

Did you know that liquorice root contains glycyrrhizin, a substance that is up to 50 times sweeter than sugar. This sweetness is often used in the production of candies, syrups and other sweets.

USE:

Daily dose = after shaking 15 drops 2x a day.
